HISTORY:

Shiva is said to have blessed a destitute woman with a piece of gold each day, hence Pon Vaitta Nathar. A group of Sidhas are said to have assumed the form of bees and worshipped Shiva; there is a beehive to the south of the deity. Worship is offered to the beehive.
