HISTORY:

This Shivastalam is located 4 km southwest of Tirunellikka near Tiruvarur. Tiruttenkoor is a Shivastalam in the vicinity.

Saturn's shrine is of significance here in this shrine where  The Navagrahas are in a single file as in Tiruvarur. Agni (Lord of Fire) is said to have worshipped Shiva at this Sthalam.

SALIENT FEATURE:

·        The temple at this sivasthalam covers an area of about 1 acre.

·        The shrine for Lord Shiva is facing west.
